Canada's NDP

Web giants don’t need another tax holiday!

Add your name now if you agree.

Canadian small businesses pay their taxes on time and in full. But according to the government, their multinational competitors don’t have to pay or collect taxes. Special tax exemptions given to web giants like Netflix, Facebook, and Google cost Canadians nearly $1 billion every year in lost tax revenue. Imagine what we could do with this lost revenue to improve our infrastructure and social services. Canada is the only G7 country to give in to the demands of web giants for special treatment. Giant multinational companies like Netflix, Facebook, and Google should be required to follow the same tax rules as Canadian companies. Do you agree?
