Mr. Peter Julian (New Westminster—Burnaby, NDP): Mr. Speaker, so the Liberals say they will ban single-use plastics at the same time as they are handing over tens of millions of dollars to increase plastic production. There is a word for this: utter hypocrisy.
The Liberals' approach to Trans Mountain has been equally hypocritical. First, they promised to change Stephen Harper's discredited process then they adopted it. They also pumped four and a half billion dollars of Canadians' money into a pipeline project that is bad for the environment and the economy, and now they are talking about delaying announcing the rubber stamp approval next week.
